spooky !

another fall craft.

this was a wood base. i used "tiger lily" glimmer mist to colour the pumpkins. so easy and quick! i loved how the orange soaked in, and also allows a kind of shimmer to float on top.

acylic paint. white. charcoal.

all of the letters were coated in Diamond Glaze glue, then i sprinkled glitter over the top.

just like my pumpkin decoration, i used black ink on a make up sponge to add dimension to the edges. added some ribbons.

but my favourite? the "spooky" eyes!! they are made by Heidi Grace...and also coordinate with their patterned papers.

i had thought about prying off the letters and adhering patterned paper. i also loved the WRMK black out theme papers. but i wanted to use the letters too, and didn't think i would get them off in one piece. i wasn't too disappointed. glimmer mist, paint, glitter...much easier to use!

happy CANADIAN thanksgiving

here is one of my latest creations. it now hangs on our front door with Aidan's wreath.

way back in August, Michael's had their pumpkin and halloween stuff out. and there were some things that looked like fun! this started out as plain wood. i added orange paint to the pumpkins and used some glimmer mist (green) for the stems. and i LOVE how it splattered out to the pumpkin part!

a bit of ribbon was added. and the stickers are heidi grace. i got them last year on huge discount at London Drugs. i also used some green pigment ink on the edges of the stickers and wood for added detail. totally simple and fun.
