take heart
i love Valentines Day!
i've enjoyed filling our home with various heart themed crafts this year. this project is the first one i will share.
i'll be teaching it as a class in a couple of weeks at Urban Scrapbook. you can have one of your own completed and hanging in your home in plenty of time for Valentine's Day. you can check out the class details here and call the store to sign up.
last year the talented Jan designed a papier mache heart like this. you can see her design here. it is amazing! my version is fully inspired by her design.
the base is a papier mache heart. there are a few multi-media techniques used to create the rest of the design. it was a fun challenge to use these techniques on a three-dimensional canvas.
i absolutely love the valentine paper created by Authentique. the papers come in 12x12 individual sheets and 6x6 paper pads.
this is one of my favourite pinwheels arranged in lieu of a rosette. i created it with my Cameo. i found a pattern for a pinwheel online, used the trace feature in the Silhouette software and can now cut these in any size i want!
the banner is also a pattern created using my Cameo.
