life

i've had some Basic Grey Cupcake paper for awhile i thought it would be fun for Kiara's album. i finally took some time to play with it a bit!

i totally love this photo of Kiara jumping. one of those lucky shots!

well....i had so much fun actually using this paper....and i still had some left....i did another layout!

i had a few copies of this photo made. i think 20 or 30 years from now we will each have a copy of it! we'll just have to arm wrestle over the pages. maybe.

the first page (top) is a mix of Basic Grey, Prima, Making Memories, American Crafts, Luxe and some machine stitching.

the second page was done with all Basic Grey cupcake papers. i think that has to be a first for me to use only one company and just one line for an entire page. maybe that is a good challenge to try in the future? i was worried the background pattern would make the page too busy...but in the end i liked the effect.

one of my other favourite company's is Cosmo Cricket...and here is the line that came out in August. Mr. Campy.

most of the supplies were Cosmo Cricket. but the letters were American Crafts, Making Memories and SEI. the little heart and other rub-ons are all October Afternoon. a good mix. and the buttons were a completely perfect colour match. but not Cosmo Cricket. amazing how well they worked.

the journaling reads: I love how you can find happiness in even the small joys in life. Thanks for the reminder. {heart} Mommy

the title is : today find true happiness

(isn't that so Ali Edwards of me?!)

i used my handy dandy Creative Memories circle trimmer. i cut out two circles..the inner size was identical, but the top circle is smaller in total size. then some cutting and curling.

my own 'Aidan tree'. i liked it. Aidan was not overly impressed.
