just have to use green on st. patricks day!
Aidan's page was done in 2005 and Kiara's page was just finished today. I'm a "little" behind on Kiara's album....she is now 18 months old.
you can matte your photo with cardstock to make the photo appear larger. and the journalling here was also done on the computer and printed out. now that you know this "secret" can you guess how i may have cut the paper to fit? the word "funny" was cut out from My Mind's Eye embellishment paper.
"sweet child of mine" is a rub-on from Making Memories.
and this is some of the latest Making Memories. the white journalling paper is Jenni Bowlin.
and i used my new edge distresser on the strips of paper on page two. love that tool. still can't believe i was unsure about spending $3. crazy me! this layout initially gave me some trouble. i had laid out the stuff on the green paper for page one and plain white for page two. it was not working. Heather and Heather helped me find search for new background paper (the Making Memories paper had all sold out). and this is My Mind's Eye that has just been put on the sale rack. Wahoo! i LOVE how it works.
i had to show you this close up. new techniques - for me!
other girls have been doing this for awhile. one technique is layering and using pop dots.
the other is new for all of us.....glimmer mist! yay! it is difficult to see on the photo, but it gives a hint of glitter/shine to the flowers. i'm so glad i'm coming out of my shell and trying new stuff. so fun!!!
Heather used the glimmer mist on some chipboard letters....her colour was 'olive green'. she also used it on some of her accents. it was gorgeous. if she posts the project i'll let you know. the colour i used was 'rose tea'. very light. i love how it worked here.
