thanksgiving mini-album

***edit***correct date is October 1...the first Wednesday (and day!) of October****

this is for an upcoming class.....in Edmonton, Alberta....with a mom's group that i help to organize....we probably have way too much fun for moms....but don't tell on us, okay?!

October 1, 2008
Laurier Heights Baptist Church
9:15 am
cost will be $10 ($5 for regular session fee, and then $5 covers the extra cost of the craft)
....there will only be 20 available...first come first serve!

the kit comes with everything to make ONE album.

{i made two. i wanted to challenge myself
to see what else i could create with the same materials!}

you can choose to remove the tags, or not make them at all...this is what the album would look like without them.

the album is 3 inches square. 8 pages total.

enough for 4 to 12 photos...or more if you make additional tags!

here is one version.....

one side of the tags.
the other side of the tags.

and another version.....

one side of the tags.
the other side of the tags.
this album is another of my mini maze albums. i didn't have the time right now to come up with a totally new idea. but i still love how this works!
the pages that make up the album are from one single sheet of paper....the only gluing required is to glue the pages to the covers. wow! and the covers.....paper made by Basic Grey...from their new "Ambrosia" line....so inspiring!
another new technique for the girls will be to try out alcohol inks. you can see that there will be two leaves per album. very fun touch. and simple too.
i'm also sharing my glimmer mist. Tiger Lily. this one is orange with a copper hue. stunning colour.
so easy....and fun! and only slightly addictive...ahem!

photos...no larger than 3 inch square. wallet size works great! cut down some standard size photos, or print up some new ones.

i love the look of the fall colours with this paper. i printed out some sepia toned photos and like that as well. and i had some black and white laying around...they weren't too bad.

all you will need is a glue stick, scissors, ruler, and a black pen.

if you already do scrapbooking or cardmaking....then bring any of these too: craft mat, "excato" knife, bone folder and trimmer.

you will love this activity. i've used them for those extra special thank you cards, mini-books for kids and also added in gift cards in place of tags. this one is designed more as a reminder of people i'm thankful for. they would be fun place cards for a Thanksgiving dinner.

happy fall!
