completed mini album for Valentines

after adding a few pictures and some patterned papers. simple is best for this album. so nice to have a good excuse for simple!

page 1 is my favourite. the acrylic portion was not large enough for a whole page...so i added some patterned papers and got out my sewing machine again.

typical of me. i either run out of the "a" or "e". not sure if the small heart was a good substitute here!

i cut the heart out of patterned paper, then used it to cut out the picture of my husband and i. i adhered the photo to one side of the acrylic page, and the paper heart to the other.

some lines from the Disney movie, Enchanted....."...true loves sweet duet..."

yes. well. neither of us sing around the house. we do enjoy music. life is definitely not all fairytale!

the words on the pocket read:
a few of my favourite things

when i made the 'holiday traditions' album, i puched out scallop ovals to look like cookie bites. this time i used a half heart. then i glued the corresponding half-heart to the cover.

there you have it.

now share yours!!

some wonderful news from the scrapbook world:

{1} Pink Paislee chose their new DT for 2010....one of them was Kayla Aimee...from the DIY holiday!
congrats KA! also from DIY holiday,  Wilna was just picked up as a new designer for Jenni Bowlin. congrats Wilna! lots of changes happening. as for me, i'm tickled pink to be a part of our local Urban Scrapbook Design Team. fun times ahead!

{2} Basic Grey just launched a new website. AND some digital stuff. i hope they add more. i was really hoping for some of their current products. even maybe some old rub-ons or stamps as digital stamps. i hope they don't give up, and expand. that and they need to start a blog! {lol}

{3} CHA Winter 2010 show is coming up. which means tons of new products to tempt me. The Scrap Review blog is sharing several sneak peaks. i'm always excited to see the new papers that always come out....but new tools are also exciting parts of this time of year. will there be any worth trying out? we shall see...

i think 2010 is off to a fantastic beginning!
