add one more to the list!

the truth is i am a perfectionist. even when it nearly kills me! the ironic part about being a perfectionist has nothing to do with the finished product being perfect. seriously. you would think i {and the other bazillion perfectionists out there like me} would learn to not stress the small things! ha!!

i've been making tissue paper pom-poms. making miniature pinwheels. {yes, i caved and bought Tim's newest die....and can make pinwheels faster than ever} then i did the craziest thing.....i used the BoBunny Learning Curve papers i had been hoarding. and it feels awesome!!

i used the papers to make a little banner...to spell INSPIRE. however there isn't an obvious consistent use of the letters....so despite my desire for perfection...it sort of fell flat in the "obvious" department. if i was going for subtle....then i scored! haha!!

{i did have a chuckle at the rain drops...rather appropriate these days.}

my intention is to leave this at the school. hopefully to make their staff room a bit more homey. school staff rooms are the least inspirational. i also wanted to make it something that everyone on staff could appreciate. the staff of a school are definitely co-dependant on each other.

then i made a little note inside the library pocket. the school is named after a former public school teacher and principal here in the city. he also played football. when i first learned of that fact i was truthfully unimpressed. then i read his biography and have learned more about him this year. now i wonder why it took so long to name a school after him!

the teachers and staff have had their work cut out for them this year. hats off to the crew. they managed to take on the extra workload and still do an amazing job with our kids. with smiles and laughter.

i have only one more gift to make. i know i can do it in about an hour. just a copy of another gift i had made. it may be the first smart decision i have made for teacher gifts this year! only a few more days left. i can handle summer vacation....just as long as we have a good proportion of sunny and rainy days. let it me hot, hot, hot and let it rain away....just not too much of either extreme for too long of a time. hmmm.....i guess i could add "demanding" right after "perfectionist"? well, i guess there are worse things to be called!

any tips on keeping it simple? i think i could use one or two..... yup.
