let it snow!

our kids were so pleased with the results of their card and craft sale this year. we stopped in after lunch to check on things. it is a very relaxed atmosphere when Gloria has it in her home. both of our kids got their boots off quicker than i've ever seen and headed straight to their table! they are always curious about which ones have been taken and which ones are left. the next item they care about is what the other kids have made. all of the kids have been so mature looking at other work or crafts and comment on the "amazing"ness of it! it is adorable to listen to them.

this year Aidan and Kiara got to meet some of our returning supporters. hearing the positive comments about their art made the kids beam. the kids benefit from this fundraiser in so many different ways. it's great for them to be affirmed in their talents. but it is fabulous that they are a part of something much greater than themselves.

many thanks to those who have supported us!

in between colds and appointments and errands, i have been keeping myself busy getting projects completed. i'm not sure which turn my own health will take, so i've tried to stay ahead of schedule on the important projects. just in case!

i know i say it every year....but can it really be time to share the December layout...the final layout of the year...i was looking back through my posts and can't believe how quickly the year has gone.

i'm going to start with just a few sneak peaks.

i fully adore the vintage feeling of this line by Pink Paislee. Pat made some cards using the same papers. it is not often that i love all of the embellishments and paper in a single product line....definitely not the situation this time!

the colours are my favourite combination. ever. and the details of the glittered chipboard snowflakes. oh. my.

for one of our techniques i'm using the new "sticky embossing powder" and "dry rock candy glitter" by Ranger. these two items are must haves if you love glitter and make a lot of Christmas cards or projects. maybe i'll share this technique with my own kids next year. i can see the glitter on everything now!!

our December class will be held in the middle of December, rather than at the end of the month. it is always the trickiest month to work with! there will be a couple of spots open for this class, so call the store if you are interested.

and remember that this weekend is our "catch-up" weekend. if you have missed any of my classes in the past, have that kit sitting unopened in your house, or just want to come and scrapbook...then come join us! let me know what month you need help with and i will make sure i bring any necessary products or tools with me. those staying from my Saturday class are going to take a break for lunch, then stick around at the store for my help.

soon enough i'll be sharing the "bonus" layouts too. seriously. where did this year go?!!
